If
you grew up with parents who weekly reminded you of the good old days of the
depression, if a frequent topic of conversation on your school playground was
“Ginger or Mary Ann?”, if you
remember only having 3 TV channels and consider Bugs Bunny as one of the
world’s premier philosophers, if a recent topic of conversation that you have
taken part in included the word “colonoscopy”, if you remember having great
hair once but your kids just laugh at your high school pictures, if cute young
girls at the checkout stand call you “sir”, and if your back hurts just
thinking about clearing the snow on your sidewalk then this blog is for you.
We
are all expected to somehow accept that we are aging, even if we don’t want
to. Face it, it can be
depressing. Nevertheless let’s
persevere and laugh at ourselves and enjoy where we’ve been, where we are and
where we are going. Feel free to
comment on anything just keep it clean and make sure you have on clean
underwear.
By
the way, gray hair rocks! I earned
every one of mine! And Mary Ann,
definitely!!
